HYDRO DRILLING INTERNATIONAL S.p.A. has been founded on 1976 for drilling wells for water, geothermal and liquid/gaseous hydrocarbons research. The main activity of the company, at the beginning, was represented by drilling wells for water research both in Italy and abroad (Libya 1978 / 1979). Since 1980 the prevailing activity has been constituted by drilling (onshore and offshore) for the research of liquid/gaseous hydrocarbons, with some experience also in the geothermal field.

From September 1993 the company has undertaken also "off shore" workover - drilling works in the Adriatic Sea, operating with the packaging Fast Moving Workover "Adriatic Rig 1". At present the company owns and operates 7 drilling rigs "on shore", with different characteristics, capable to reach depths up to 20.000 Ft. Moreover the Company has purchased two new HH220 environmental-friendly rigs which are conceived in order to increase drilling performance using the best technologies available on the market. A new modern 2000HP rig has been recently delivered and is ready to work. Company is foreseeing new investments to enlarge fleet both in Italy and abroad.
HYDRO DRILLING INTERNATIONAL S.p.A. is included in Vendor's List of main oil companies operating in Italy and in other countries.
HYDRO DRILLING INTERNATIONAL S.p.A. has implemented a certified Quality Assurance System complying with the ISO 9001-2008 and, at present, operates with a work force of 200 people constituted by engineers, geologists, rig superintendents and skilled field personnel. Field personnel has participated to IWCF (International Well Control Forum) courses as requested by regulations.
In recent years Hydro Drilling has created two new business units in the field of providing maintenance services and “turn-key” services to oil companies. Head Office and Administration are in Alessandria, Piazza Garibaldi 31 while Operation and Sales Management and Human Resource Dept. are in Ravenna, Via Bruno Buozzi 56. Logistic Base is in Bosco Marengo (AL) S.S.35 Bis Dei Giovi -20’000 sq. mt – and a warehouse is available in Ravenna -3000 sq. mt.
